SCAJとは
SCAJは、スペシャルティコーヒーにかかわる産業・文化・人が交わる国際的な展示会・カンファレンスです。
SCAJはたんなる製品発表の場に留まらず、スペシャルティコーヒーの持続可能な未来を築くためのコミュニティです。コーヒー生産者、輸入商社、機器メーカー、ロースター、そしてその一杯を愛する消費者。このバリューチェーンに関わるすべてのプレイヤーが繋がり、高め合う場所でありたいと考えています。

日頃より多くのご支援を賜り厚く御礼を申し上げます。SCAJは、“日本におけるスペシャルティコーヒーの啓蒙・普及” を目的に2003年に設立されました。
90年代に世界では次々にスペシャルティコーヒー団体が設立されましたが、2001〜02年は国際原料相場が史上最低価格をつけ、産地はコスト割れで疲弊、生産者は施肥管理も満足にできず品質を落とし、消費国のロースターは価格競争で消耗戦を強いられるという、まさに「コーヒークライシス」と呼ばれた時代でした。
そんな状況の中でも、サステナブルなコーヒー業界をつくろう、価格競争をやめて品質競争をしよう、消費者が感動するおいしいコーヒーを適切な価格で提供しよう、という機運が高まり、SCAJが誕生しました。
お陰様でSCAJは設立23年目を迎え、SCAJ展示会も21回目の開催となります。今年の展示会のテーマは、「Brew the Future（コーヒーの未来を、共に創る）」人手不足、気候変動、価格高騰など、さまざまな問題がありますが、AIの導入や自動化といった技術革新によってコーヒー業界がどのように変わっていくのか、そして何よりもコーヒーに対する私たちの愛と情熱によってどのような新しい未来が拓かれていくのか、皆様と共に考えてゆきたいと思います。革新を続けるスペシャルティコーヒー業界の最新の情報や製品の紹介を通じて、スペシャルティコーヒーの素晴らしさ、その魅力、多様性を再認識し、新たな発見と出会いに満ちた4日間にしていきます。皆様のご参加を心よりお待ちしております。
The SCAJ was founded in 2003, with the mission of promoting and expanding awareness of specialty coffee in Japan. The 1990s saw specialty coffee organizations springing up around the world. However, the period from 2001 to 2002 was truly a “Coffee Crisis” era. International commodity prices hit historic lows, causing producing regions to suffer from costs exceeding revenues. Producers couldn't even manage fertilization properly, leading to declining quality. Meanwhile, roasters in consuming countries were forced into a war of attrition through price competition.
Amidst this turmoil, momentum grew to create a sustainable coffee industry, shift the focus from price competition to quality competition, and provide consumers with delicious, inspiring coffee at fair prices. This momentum led to the establishment of the SCAJ.
Thanks to your support, SCAJ is now celebrating its 23rd year, and the SCAJ Exhibition is being held for the 21st time.Despite challenges such as labor shortages, climate change, and rising prices, we want to explore together how technological innovations—such as AI adoption and automation—will transform the coffee industry. Above all, we aim to discover what new futures our love and passion for coffee will unlock. By showcasing the latest information and products from the ever-innovative specialty coffee industry, we will rediscover the excellence, charm and diversity of specialty coffee, ensuring that these four days are filled with new discoveries and encounters. We sincerely look forward to your participation.

国内外の著名ロースターやバリスタが登壇し、実演や競技会を開催。日本一を競う白熱のステージイベントに加え、各分野の専門家によるセミナーやワークショップを通じて、実践的な知見を提供します。
Renowned roasters and baristas from Japan and overseas will take the stage for demonstrations and competitions. Alongside the heated stage events where Japan's best compete, seminars and workshops led by experts in each field will provide practical insights.
